Ulifushi – The Island of Shells

A 13.36-hectare beachfront site on the southern coast of HA. Uligan, with about 1.45 km of white-sand beach and a wide lagoon. The masterplan reinterprets traditional Maldivian architecture in four kinds of accommodation, from city-hotel rooms to royal-heritage suites.

How we build

Capital follows demand, one phase at a time.

  2. 02 · Planned90 keysWith Uthuru Dheyvi

Phased to demand

Ulifushi opens in three phases over three years, 30 keys, then 90, then 103, so each stage of spending follows guests who have already arrived.

Built on what exists

Six existing ten-room blocks become the 60-room Uthuru Dheyvi city hotel. Reusing them cuts cost and time to market, and keeps the site's mature trees and wetland in place.

Distribution from day one

Resort Life Travel brings nearly two decades of tour-operator relationships across Europe, Russia and the CIS, the Middle East and Asia.

Why the north

The northern atolls now have their own international gateway.

Hanimaadhoo International Airport opened in November 2025, 45 km from Uligan. For the first time, guests can fly directly into the north of the Maldives.
